A friend of mine, well, a friend of my sister's that I've been in touch with a lot on facebook recently, just messaged me to say her boyfriend of 8 years has dumped her. Whilst she had flu (she's now getting better and able to get online).
Very horrible.
But also very coincidentally convenient for me, because it is really difficult getting out and about when all your mates are in partnerships. Takes weeks of preparation. But now I have a friend to go out with - yay!!!

Re-reading what I wrote I sound like a right cow! But I have to admit it's noce to have someone in a similar situation - and in fact things are so much worse for her that it's making me feel well off.
Poor thing even has to live with him still until he finds somewhere to move to.
Good to see the bright side! And she will need a friend by her side and a shoulder to cry on...x

We have been talking all evening, and it's good cos she's taken my mind off all the Steve shit really well. We are both now in a thoroughly 'we hate men' mood!
